Dana Kowalczyk learned HVAC in the Air Force and came home to build K&D's heating and cooling department. She's a licensed HVAC contractor, and our heating technicians carry industry certifications and get ongoing factory training on the equipment we install. Kenji Watanabe, our lead HVAC technician, heads up heat pump and ductless work.
Central Ohio winters are long, gray and damp, with a few hard cold snaps every year and a lot of days hovering around freezing. That's tough on equipment. It means a furnace that runs from October to April, and a heat pump that needs to be sized and set up for the cold, not just the mild days. The Comfort Club: the easy way to never get caught cold
For $199 a year, Comfort Club members get a furnace tune-up in the fall and an AC tune-up in the spring, 15% off repairs, priority scheduling when everyone's calling during the first cold snap, and no after-hours fees on emergency calls. Bought separately, the two tune-ups alone are $258.
Financing, rebates and tax credits
A new heating system is a big purchase, and it rarely shows up when it's convenient. We offer financing as low as $79/month with approved credit, and 0% for 18 months on systems over $5,000. High-efficiency furnaces and heat pumps may also qualify for utility rebates and federal tax credits; the programs change often, so ask us what's current when we quote and we'll help you with the paperwork.
